Our league uses salaries and a Salary Cap. This can potentially lead to mistakes by the League Commissioner and the Fantrax software. For that reason, the Commissioner needs everyone’s help to make sure their team rosters, salaries and waiver use are correct.
Owners are responsible for policing their own teams, including their salaries. Any mistakes should be brought to the League Commissioner’s attention immediately. Any salary or roster error more than 48 hours old discovered by the league Commissioner for any reason other than an owner reporting their own issue will result in sanctions to the offending team, regardless of how the error occurred. This applies to all owners, including the League Commissioner.
For each offense, the offending owner will lose (2) category wins for the week the offense occurred. If the new score is a loss, this counts as a loss for the offending team for tiebreaker purposes. Example: During Week 10, it is discovered that Team A activated a player from IR in Week 5 that put their team salary over the cap for two days of games played. Team A initially won Week 5 with a score of 6-3. After the error is discovered, Team A’s new score becomes 2-3. The score of Team A’s opponent remains unchanged, but this counts as a loss for Team A for tiebreaker purposes.
If a team accrues more sanctions than category wins, the sanctions carry forward to subsequent matchups until they are expended.
ONE OWNER, ONE TEAM
ARBYS owners may only ever have one team. Any owner found to have multiple teams in the league will be banned and any payments made kept by the league. The money will be used to find replacement owners as soon as possible. Any money leftover after all teams are filled will be divided evenly among all remaining owners in the affected conference.
