From the desk of Adam Smasher, Association of Recreational Basketball Fantasys Commissioner:
Dear Owner,
Fantasy sports takes a lot of time. Time is a construct of the oppressor class so the poor are afraid to do nothing. Play ARBYS: nothing matters
Welcome to ARBYS.

THE QUICK AND DIRTY
ARBYS is a 24-team dynasty NBA league with player contracts and a salary cap. The teams are split into (2) even conferences, each with its own unique player pool, contracts, and salaries.
The buy-in for every team is $50 per year. Owners pay for their first and third years upfront ($100 total in league dues). In addition, Fantrax charges $79.95 per year to host the league, which comes out to $3.33 per person, per year. This is paid on top of league dues.
ARBYS uses a Salary Cap equal to the NBA Luxury Tax Line, which increases or decreases each year to match the real league.
Teams acquire players through an annual Rookie Draft, Free Agent Auction Draft, or waivers/free agency. Rookie salaries are equal to the NBA Rookie Salary Scale. Free agent salaries are equal to the winning bid made during the Free Agent Auction Draft (preseason) or Blind Bid Waivers (in-season).
Each owner's Total Team Salary must be less than or equal to the ARBYS Salary Cap at all times.
LUXURY TAX: The one exception to this is starting January 15, owners have the option of paying the Luxury Tax. This is an extra $50 payment, going toward the championship purse, which buys the owner an additional 20 percent in Salary Cap space for trades, waivers, or free agents.
The minimum salary is $1M, and salaries must be in $1M increments.
Blind-Bid Waivers process every day at 11 a.m. EST. Tie bids go to the team lowest in the current standings. After waivers process each day, free agents are offered on a First-Come-First-Served basis until the start of the first game of the day, when all free agents lock until the Blind-Bid Waivers process at 11 a.m. EST the following day.
Teams have (10) spots on their active roster:
-- G
-- G
-- F
-- F
-- F/C
-- Flex

Teams also have (3) Bench spots, up to (4) Injured Reserve spots, and (2) G-League Roster spots. Only players who have played less than 100 career NBA games may be placed on G-League rosters. Players on Injured Reserve and in the G-League do not count against their team's Salary Cap.
Players dropped during the season retain their salary, but there is no team penalty for dropping players. This means owners can drop players for no cost, but must pay at least their original salary to pick up players off waivers or free agency. EXAMPLE: Team A drops Dirk Nowitzki, who has a $5M salary. Team A now has that $5M back in their Salary Cap. If Team B wants to pick up Dirk off waivers or free agency, they must bid at least $5M and have that much in their Salary Cap to fit him in.
The only exception to the above rule is the Buy-Out Period at noon EST January 10 every year. At that time, all current free agents have their Player Contracts nullified and their salaries return to the $1M minimum. All players will be locked at that point until waivers process at 11 a.m. January 11.
The regular season lasts 17 weeks, in which the conferences play every conference opponent once, and (6) random conference opponents twice. At the end of the regular season, the top (6) teams in each conference advance to the ARBYS Playoffs. The Playoffs last four rounds, culminating in Championship Weeks, when the conference champions face off in the ARBYS Finals, and second- and third-place finishers battle for Third through Fifth Place league finishes.
Matchups have a 40 Games Played Limit, per week. Teams are not allowed to go over 40 games played per week, even on the last day of the matchup.
The bottom (6) teams in each conference play a simultaneous, reverse-seed postseason called the Shitty Shitty Bang Bang Tournament. The SSBB contestants play each other for future salary cap relief and draft positioning.
Between seasons, teams may keep as many or as few players as they wish. Every player a team keeps costs $3M extra, applied to their team's Salary Cap before the Free Agent Auction Draft. Teams only have what's left in their Salary Cap to bid on free agents.
TEAM NAMES AND GRAPHICS
I'm happy to take some time and make some graphics for annual awards. Your champions, MVPs, All-ARBYS winner, etc. That's open to everyone.
If you want some team graphics, let me know what you like as a logo and two team colors. I can't be doing these for everyone every year, so make sure you like what you pick out.
