The postseason begins in Week 18 during the All-Star Break.
We do not have games the last week of the NBA regular season.
Teams are seeded 1 through 12 in each conference by Win/Loss Percentage.
CONFERENCE STANDINGS TIEBREAKERS
PLAYOFFS
The top (6) teams in each conference advance to the ARBYS Playoffs.
There are four rounds in the Playoffs:
First Round
-- Matchups are 3v6 and 4v5 in each conference. Losers are eliminated from the postseason. The 1 and 2 seeds in each conference have a bye.
Second Round
-- Matchups are 1v(lowest remaining seed) and 2v(second-lowest remaining seed) in each conference. Losers advance to conference third-place game.
Conference FInals
-- Conference finalists play each other for their Conference Championship.
-- Second-round losers play each other for conference third place. Losers in the conference third-place game are eliminated from the postseason.
Championship Weeks
-- Conference champions play each other for the ARBYS Championship; loser takes Second Place.
-- Conference runner-ups play each other for ARBYS Third Place; loser takes Fourth Place.
-- Conference third-place teams play each other for ARBYS Fifth Place; loser gets nothing.
The first round of the Playoffs lasts one matchup week during the two weeks of the All-Star Break (8 game days). Subsequent rounds of the Playoffs last two matchup weeks (14 game days).
In every matchup, the higher-seeded team is the home team. During Championship Week, home team is determined by Standings Tiebreakers (i.e. the home team is the one with the highest Win/Loss Percentage → Roto Rank → Coin Flip).
Teams eliminated in the postseason are prohibited from adding/dropping players or using waivers.
SHITTY SHITTY BANG BANG TOURNAMENT
The (6) remaining teams from each conference not in the Playoffs play a reverse-seeded tournament for Salary Cap relief and draft positioning.
There are three rounds in the Shitty Shitty Bang Bang Tournament:
First Round
-- Matchups are 10v9 and 8v7 in each conference. Losers are eliminated from the postseason. The 12 and 11 seeds in each conference have a bye.
Second Round
-- Matchups are 12v11 and First Round Winner v. First Round Winner. Losers are eliminated from the postseason.
Third Round
-- Matchups are Second Round Winner v. Second Round Winner. Both teams are prohibited from adding/dropping players or using waivers during Championship Weeks.
The first round of the SSBB lasts one matchup week during the two weeks of the All-Star Break (8 game days). Subsequent rounds of the SSBB last two matchup weeks (14 game days).
In every matchup, the lowest seed is the home team.
Teams eliminated from the postseason are prohibited from adding/dropping players or using waivers.
The winner of the Shitty Shitty Bang Bang Tournament is granted (3) free RFA extensions, meaning they may re-sign (3) of their Restricted Free Agents at no additional cost. The second-place team is granted (1) free RFA extension, meaning they may re-sign (1) of their Restricted Free Agents at no additional cost.
